Shepherd’s Pie was a staple meal in my house as a child. Now, it’s one of my son’s favourite meals! It’s easy to make, especially if you make extra mashed potatoes with supper the night before! 😉 Another way this recipe is so easy for me is because I always keep cooked ground beef in the freezer. So, it’s a breeze to put together, it tastes great, and is a meal from scratch. 🙂

This recipe is just directions without the actual measurements, because, well, it’s just that kind of meal!!!

Shepherd’s Pie

Ground beef
Creamed corn
Peas or mixed vegetables (optional)
Mashed potatoes
Paprika and parsley (optional)

Cook ground beef with onions and garlic. Drain. Place in a deep casserole dish. Add creamed corn on top of ground beef, followed by corn and other vegetables. Top it all with the mashed potatoes. Sprinkle paprika and parsley on top!

Bake at 350F for 30-45 minutes until warm all the way through.

We love to eat ours topped with ketchup, with sides of salad, pickled beets and pickles. 🙂
