These pancakes are our absolute favourite. They work super well with my fresh-ground wheat or spelt flours!


1 egg
1 1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp butter
1 1/2 cup wheat (2 cups spelt flour)*
2 Tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
Beat together in mixing bowl, cook on a frying pan.
* Adjust flour amount depending on your preference for the thickness of the pancakes.
I made this recipe using powdered milk and powdered eggs, and filled a mason jar. I cut a circle piece of fabric to dress it up a bit (between the lid and ring of the jar), and tied the directions to the jar. Simple, pretty, homemade, yummy little gift! 🙂
