I love potatoes, in any shape and form! My 3yr old son takes after his Mommy. 🙂 Obviously we love hash browns, but not the price tag that comes from buying them. We’ve experimented with different ways of making them at home, without much success.
Then my friend Glenda came to the rescue! 😉 She bought me a <a href="NORPRO 14 Inch By 5 Inch Stainless Potato Grater “>potato grater. Basically, it’s a cheese grater with bigger holes. I tell you, that little gadget is AMAZING! From quickly shredding big carrot chunks into a chicken noodle soup, so grating certain types of cheese easily (that don’t work so well with a smaller grater), to making… you guess it! HASH BROWNS!
It’s also possible to make these hash browns with a regular cheese grater, it just clumps up a bit more.
Ok, here’s how! Peel and wash your potatoes. Grate them using this amazing <a href="NORPRO 14 Inch By 5 Inch Stainless Potato Grater “>potato grater. Rinse thoroughly and dry (by shaking your strainer until no longer dripping). Cook potatoes in frying pan with oil. Season with salt and pepper.
That’s it! So simple, way cheaper than store-bought hash browns, and oh. so. delicious!
